ALLSTON 3D
A pop-up projection mapped installation activated in Allston, MA.
Allston 3D was the first phase with apprentice Caleb Hawkins. The project was aimed at teaching him skills in 3D modeling, video projection math, 3D animation, projection mapping and site specific conceptual artwork. The work expressed itself through distorting, opening, and scanning a traditional facade in Boston Neighbor hood Allston. Announcing day-of on our instagram, the piece was presented pop-up style during a global pandemic. About 40 people arrived to experience the piece at a safe distance together. It was a beautiful night inside and out and was capped off by the police being called only to show up and express their appreciation for the work.
