DREAMWALL

“DREAMWALL” was created in collaboration with artists Hubert Phipps, Jason Crigler, and directed by Jeff Grantz. The concepts in the installation are informed by the sculpture form, Crigler’s sound score, and inhibiting the words of Heart, Soul, Mystery, Pure, and Intense. The piece navigates from a raw, earthed character discovering itself through material and from. It then manifests its own internal spirit in order to transform from the inside out and becoming beyond self, evaporating with the ethereal.

MASARY principal Samo created the animation from a 3D model of the sculpture and projection mapped it back onto the sculpture to apply the intrinsic visuals for the collaborative piece. The installation debuted at Hubert Phipps private studio in Virginia for an event hosted by the Virginia Museum of Fine Art.
