Immersive Multimedia Installation Exploring Movement and Dance

ÜNI is a public multimedia artwork made in collaboration with Boston Ballet. The artwork puts movement out into the public with an invitation to both approach various presentations of dance and to question "what is movement?" all within the sculptural environment.

Comprised of a 360° video dome and multi-channel spatial sound, the work is wrapped with the contour of illuminated curves and a soft enclosing form —the public is able to enter ÜNI, stepping into the immersive installation to experience a portal transporting them to and from environments of world-class ballet and abstract expressions of movement through animation and spatial sound. Each moment between the dance pieces is liminal and influenced by the movement which comes before and by the movement which is to arrive — arranging a journey of movement in the round.
