Low Relief Sculpture Capturing Motion Through Perspective and Reflective Light.

Transitional is a low relief edge sculpture that holds motion and force in a moment of suspension. Spanning sixteen by nine feet, the work is composed of repeating fins made from temporary roadway lane markers, connecting its material language to Watertown’s temporary landscape of transit, construction, and change. Small reflectors positioned at the top of each fin respond to movement, perspective, and surrounding city light. As viewers pass, the sculpture shifts between compression and expansion, revealing narrow corridors, shadows, and flashes of illumination. At night, reflected light travels across its surface, creating subtle dances of motion within its minimal architectural form.
