In Every Transition, A Pattern

Audio Driven Light Installation Reflecting the Pulse of Downtown Brooklyn

A public light installation shaped by the sounds of its surroundings, this work reflects the energy of the neighborhood through an evolving composition of light rooted in place. Field recordings of conversation, traffic, pigeons, and passing trains form a composed score that translates the corridor’s pulse into rhythmic, kaleidoscopic patterns.

Within the vacant storefront interior, a custom structure carries light across a grid of glass panels, spilling onto the sidewalk and animating the block long facade. Windows and pavement become a luminous surface, softening the boundary between street, storefront, and shared public space.
